Is Cowork safe with my data?
Yes, within bounds you control. Cowork can only read folders you've explicitly connected, code runs in an isolated virtual machine and your default training setting is off. Connector content (Gmail, Drive) is excluded from training even if you opt in. Anthropic's safety guide is here.
Can I connect multiple Gmail or Drive accounts?
One per service per install. For fractional CMOs juggling clients, the workaround is a separate Cowork Project per client. Switch between Projects to keep the client's content safe and private (don't cross-pollinate the insights from one client to another).
How is Cowork different from Custom GPTs or Gems?
Custom GPTs and Gems are prompt templates. Cowork is an agentic system: persistent context, real tools (Gmail, Drive, your local files), an execution loop and a skill architecture. Different category, different capability. Custom GPTs and Gems are simple AI assistants. Cowork is an agent-building system.
